Service Engine Soon

Crap. Define Soon?!

Supposedly on GM vehicles you can disconnect the positive battery cable and it resets the "computer" that makes the SES light come on (especially if you don't notice anything wrong with your car). Or, try shutting off the car, take off the gas cap, wait about 5 min and put the cap back on until it clicks and then start the car and let it run for about 5 minutes. I am no mechanic but have heard of these things :)

If your gas cap wasn't on right, this can cause the service engine soon light to come on. This has happened to a lot of people I know. It also happens when the fuel you put in wasn't the best. Try the gas cap first. (Make sure it clicks a bunch of times.) Then, see what happens after you fill up again.

Well, my dad is "mr. goodwrench" but he is on a snowmobiling trip. So I will have to check with him when he gets back. It appears to be running okay, I checked my oil. It's okay. Although I am due for a change...

I did fuel up and tighten the gas cap and it is still "on"

Temp gauge is okay.

Maybe it's the 135 thousand miles- it's just letting me know it's getting OLD.
