Flying the Friendly Skies...

Yes. Picture Me as Chandler Bing. Could there BE any more shit to do?!

I leave tomorrow. I am half packed. Today I had a lovely conversation about the dangers of flying, with a co-worker, who mentioned this instance that I (she who buries her head in the sand, doesn't read the newspaper, and doesn't watch the news) was completely and blissfully unawares of... until today. Grand.

Drugs. I need lots and lots of drugs. I am still wanting to know if it is safe to take Dramamine with Calms Forte. I called their hotline today and someone who sounded a lot like Rosie Perez said "no interactions with any medicine whatsoever." I am not sure that Rosie Perez is high on my list of pharmaceutical experts, but I guess that would be a prejiduced statement, so I conveniently retract that.

Okay. Until today, not at all nervous about flying. Excited. Sleeping. Tonight, maybe not so much. Probably will need Unisom to sleep tonight. I know this post makes me sound like a pillhead but just so you know, flying is an unusual circumstance and I almost never take non-prescription medication otherwise. (P.S. If I die on the plane, and it's not from a plane crash, assume it's a terrifying mix of Unisom chased with a morning dose of Dramamine and Calms Forte!)

Tell me.... HOW Do you get ALCOHOL on a plane? Every time I have flown (okay, the one time) all I got was Tostidos and Sprite. Where's the jesus juice, people? Huh? When the pilot shook my hand as I boarded and I said "don't kill me" they should have immediately directed me towards the stewardess with the sauce. Am I wrong? (P.S. If I die AFTER the plane lands, assume it was a Calms Forte Cocktail that killed me off.)

I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die.
I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die.
I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die.
I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die.
I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die.
I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die.

You're totally not going to die.

You would be more likely to get in an automobile accident than an airplane crash - You'll be fine! Have a fab time while you're gone!

You're more likely to win the lottery on a rainy day on 4th of July than "doom" on an airplane.

Hope that helps!

BTW-Rosie Perez? I would have hung up.

just ask for some alcohol, even when I fly to KC on Southwest when they come around I order beer. Alcohol at 30000 feet really gets to you quick too. I guess it all depends on the airline. Prices vary too
