Takin Care of Business

Wow. I am in wild mood today. Just ask Jackson or CB. I don't know what has gotten into me. CB says it's hormones. I think Jackson is used to it.

Today is one of those days where everything has an alter-meaning.... and everything can become hilarious. It's a day when you want to flash people or flip people off and you have a smart comment for everything. I guess for me, it means I am feeling back to normal.

How is it that a little static spray up the skirt (it's necessary I tell you! static is the ENEMY!) can get you cracking up so much?

Today is also an ultra-productive kind of day, where you get to the bottom of things, get problems resolved, and use your charm to get past people who have been feeding you a line of Bullshit for way longer than you would usually allow.

It's the kind of day where you want to crank up the stereo and dance in your socks and underwear. Where you want to eat cereal for every meal. A day when fingerpainting (or bodypainting) could be highly entertaining and you might not even mind the mess.

You remember things that you had forgotten, like a blast from the past.

My Newest Pickup Line....

I invented it myself.

"I can do things with bottle caps and static spray that would make your
head spin."

When Are YOU two going to have Kids?!

I have a real issue lately with tactless people. My mom always raised us to be tactful. Open and honest but tactful. Some of you may laugh, because I don't always keep my opinions to myself (okay, almost never) but I hate people who are all up in your business.

Firstly, since the day we became engaged, all we heard were choruses of "it's about time!" which I can say that in some ways, I was completely hearing them, 9 years is a long time, but we are also young, and our 9 years started when I was 17 and Evan was 16.... so were we supposed to get married at 18 and 19? But the constant "it's about time" got pretty old. But then we got married, and it was all over with. For about 10 seconds.

Now it is always "when are you having kids." Now normally, I wouldn't mind that question. I don't mind it from most people. Especially people who I consider friends. But there are some casual acquaintances who really don't have any business asking about when I plan to become impregnated by my husband. But what bugs me the most are the people who ask you that every time you see them. Like once a week or once a month. Where are your fucking memories, people? Do you NOT remember that you asked me that last week? DO you think that my answer has changed? I figure that my answer to them obviously wasn't memorable enough, so I had better just start using a sharper tongue. They appear to be amazingly effective, and usually leave the questioner quite speechless.... So please, feel free to read them until the answer you were seeking has been found.

Question: When are you and your husband going to have kids?

New Answer: Would you like a Conception date or a delivery date?

New Answer: When he gets some balls (let them ponder the double meanings of that one)

New Answer (suburbia style): When the war is over in Iraq. I really don't feel comfortable delivering a child when there is a war on terror happening. I really would prefer to wait until we have found a way to recycle all our man made materials so my baby won't have to swim waist deep in this land fill we call earth. And now that you mention it, I really am not sure that all of the hormones I have been ingesting in the eggs and milk haven't totally messed with my ovaries. Really (comtinue until they wish they had never opened their fat mouths....)

New Answer: Well, I have a lot of debt, and I would really like to have my car paid off, so I can give you the phone number of my banker and my credit counselor, and you can contact them to see when my wallet might be ready for the financial responsibility of a child. How does that sound?

New Answer: You'll be the first to know (delivered with the biggest "i'm so full of shit" smile that the person doesn't know whether to take me seriously or realize I am feeding them a line)

New Answer (twist on the previous answer): You know, I am glad you mentioned that, because I have been meaning to get your opinion on the subject. (especially effective with someone you see once a year)

New Answer: Well, we tried twice last night, and three times this morning, and once over lunch, but I really won't know for a few weeks if it took. Why don't you give me your cell phone number and I will call you when I take the test, then we can wait the 3 minutes out together!

New Answer: I can't have kids (followed by shoulder racking sobs and high pitched squeals of pain) {Note, too mean to actually use, so I won't, but it's the thought that counts.}

So anyway. People can piss me off. I feel like wearing a shirt, that is like an at home pregnancy test, that has like a +/- sign on it in pink, with a BIG red NO Symbol over the + sign. My biggest thing, is like HELLO! We live in the SMALLEST communities. If someone is pregnant, the word spreads like WILDFIRE to the surrounding 7 states and in a matter of 3 days, people you don't even KNOW are telling you congratulations. SO. If I am pregnant, AND I decide to tell everyone, you will probably know before my mom does, so if that doesn't make you happy, I don't know what else to tell you.

Instead of being happy knowing when I am like 3 months pregnant, like the rest of the world will be, you feel you need to know that I am having sex with intent, well I just have to tell you to readjust your outlook on what is your business and what is my business, and take a step back, because If you don't, I might come up swinging.

Whew. I feel better now. Please realize that this post is not directed at fellow bloggers and online friends, but people that I see in EVERYfreakingDAY life that ask me this question so often that I feel like a broken record with dried up eggs that everyone can see.

We will have kids (and tell you) when we are damn good and ready! Oh and did I mention, You'll be the FIRST to know!

Blog Before Bed

Ahhh, just a little blogging before bed.

This weekend I spent sleeping a bit. Friday night I took a 1 hour nap and Evan made homemade Chicken Enchiladas and we had "family movie night" where we all snuggled in the living room and watched Brothers Grimm.... which I highly recommend. Evan bought it for me on DVD for Christmas.

Saturday morning Evan had an auction early and I had a quilted card class in Dover at 9am, for which I arrived fashionably late, as I can not hardly get up at 8am on a weekday, let alone a SATURDAY. Plus I had to stop at the bank on the way. Saturday afternoon Evan declared me cranky and told me to take a nap, to which I responded with a 4 hour nap in bed, and he a 3 hour nap in the recliner. I woke feeling refreshed and took a bath. Then I made Homemade Chicken Parmesan with Bowtie Pasta for dinner and we watched Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again, on cable, even though we have it on DVD, it was still entertaining. Then PG showed up unexpectedly and we went to Wise Guys in Princeton for a drink or two. Then I took PG back to spend the last night as the last ever guest at the Pheonix Inn in Princeton. I made a trip to Wal-Mart and got gas at Shell, sliding into bed around 1:30am.

I slept till 10:30 today, Sunday, and then I took another bath, cleaned up in the kitchen, loaded the dishwasher and ran it, watched some TV, ate strawberry yogurt cheerios for breakfast. Then I balanced both checking accounts and reconciled 4 statements, and paid or scheduled all the bills to be paid through the end of January.

I Reheated Chicken Parmesan for lunch while watching my DVR'd special on Salem Witch Trials, and Evan made Turkey and Bacon Clubs for supper, which I followed up by 10 minutes on the treadmill in the M&M suit, a bowl of ice cream, 4 re-runs of Roseanne, 1 New Extreme Makeover Home Edition, 1 New Desperate Housewives, 1 complete round of PM Yoga in the M&M suit, and Christopher Titus special "Norman Rockwell is Bleeding" which was FABULOUS!

Then the dogs went to sleep and after a mini-snack (why?! a mug of Strawberry Yogurt Cheerios with Skim Milk) I will also go to bed!

Isn't my life FASCINATING!

Sleepy

I'm Feeling VERRRYYYY Sleepy....

My eyelids are feeling droopy...

My head is very heavy...

I keep getting chills down my spine and goosebumps that make me want to curl up with a blanket.

My desk looks like a pillow.

The floor looks like a bed.

The light switch must. turn. off.

my M&M suit.

So, our "cook supper" plan keeps getting screwed up. Tuesday night I had a Computer User Group Meeting and if I hadn't had that meeting, I would have had to clean dog kennels. Wednesday night (last night) I cooked a fabulous Penne Pasta with Ricotta and vegetables. It was very tasty, husband was pleased, dogs were excited, and Evan got full WITHOUT MEAT! Amazing eh?

Then I put on my M&M suit and walked on the treadmill for 8 minutes. Oh and I made Chocolate Cupcakes for my boss's birthday today, and then frosted them with pretty pink frosting. Then I had to eat 3 of them because they were lopsided.

Oh yeah, M&M suit, I should explain. I told Cari this story and she laughed, so that must mean that it is funny. When I do yoga, I like to feel zen. It's hard to feel zen when your underwear are bugging you and your bra is pinching you. So I bought a bootcut unitard. It is like a tank top that goes right into pants, and it is comfortable and stretchy and it works great for yoga and excercise in general. Problem is, I am not skinny enough to be wearing a unitard so I look like an M&M with arms and Legs. Round body. That's me. So when I excercise, I put on my M&M suit, close the blinds, and walk on the treadmill or do yoga or whatever. So I call it my M&M suit. Better than an S&M suit, eh?

So anyway, it was like 10:30pm and I wore my M&M suit and Ryka Aerobics shoes for the like 20 minutes while I walked on the treadmill and then frosted cupcakes. So tonight I anticipate donning the M&M suit again and walking on the treadmill. I need to start with short intervals and increase as I get into shape. Right now my legs get tired walking at that fast of a pace, and that late at night, and I can't go too long without getting rubber legs. So 8 minutes. I hope to increase that so that I can eventually walk for like an hour. my goal is 30 continuous minutes by the end of January and 1 hour by the end of February.

I walked last night while watching Nanny 911 and the beginning of that 70's show. Tonight is The O.C. followed by Reunion, so I plan on trying intervals this evening. Like walk for 10, break for 10 or 15, then wallk for 10 again. If I do this, I may eventually get to a continuous walk routine. I mean, before winter hit, I used to take my iPod and walk around Princeton for 30 minutes during my lunch. I would walk at a brisk pace, but it is different on a treadmill. Don't know why. I am probably going a bit faster and at a constant uphill. But after 8 minutes I was warmed up and getting that excercise high and the tingling legs and feet! Yeah! My heart DOTH still beat! So please do not visit while I am wearing my M&M suit. I won't answer the door. and if you see the shadow of a walking M&M behind the blinds, that's just me. And just if you are curious, I am a green M&M at heart. And I melt for no one.

Calendar is filling up!

Party Time at Meagan's!

This week I have scheduled 2 baby showers and 2 parties at my house.

Firstly, Monday February 13th I am hosting a Longaberger Open House. Come and go from 7-8:30pm. The goal is for everyone who comes to eat and drink valentine's treats and bring cash from their sweetie to purchase their own Valentine's Presents. Come and see the house, now that it is all finished, and the new furniture (which had better be here by then) and see the New Longaberger Catalog that comes out in Febraury with new liner colors and new "colored" baskets. I can't wait. I hope lots of people come! Do you want to come? Send me an email. I will also keep the show open until after the weekend of the 18th/19th of February, so outside orders are welcome.

Secondly, on February 19th I am hosting a baby shower for Carrie (Freeman) Stokes as she will be visiting from Utah.

Plus I have the scrapbooking classes listed below to attend, and in February is also my sister Liz's Birthday, My mom's 50th Birthday, and Evan's dad's birthday, as well as Evan's grandma Marie's Birthday. So February will be a very busy month!

Vote for me while you are there! I want to kick ass.

UPDATE: VERY VERY PISSED OFF! Someone was able (somehow) to edit my graffiti tags on the rooftop pool scene (second link above) and make it look like TOTAL crap compared to before. POSERS! This lack of control on my part infuriates me to no end!

ARGH! MAKE YOUR OWN TAGS YOU jERKS!

Sorry Insight Cable Guy!

So when we moved into the living room, the cable had never been hooked up in there. We decided to get a seperate cable box in the living room and keep the one we had in the bedroom. So I scheduled a Cable Installation appointment last week. I wrote it down like a bazillion places, reminded Evan, etc. This morning, 8:22am, the dogs are barking. I am snoozing my alarm, snoozing, needing to get up, the dogs keep barking, we hear this strange dinging (ARGH! Is THAT what the new doorbell sounds like?!) and I realize IT'S THE CABLE GUY! So I stick my head out and yell "Don't leave! I am sorry! Just a Minute!" and the dogs are barking and growling. So I throw on pajamas, hair sticking up on end, morning breath, no bra, you get the picture..... and the cable guy is laughing at me when I get to the door. I said "I am SOOO SOOOO sorry! I forgot you were coming today!" and he came in and installed the new cable box in about 30 minutes (had to fix some wiring from the basement) and then I got ready for work. SWEET! Then after he left, we had this call on the phone, and didn't recognize the caller ID. It was the Cable guy, reminding us that I had forgotten to pay the cable bill due at the end of December (christmas, you know the drill) and that If I didn't pay it we were going to be shutoff overnight. Damn! What a cool cable guy! He probably thinks I am a total spaz. Didn't pay the bill, didn't remember he was even coming. Oh well. So I called and paid the bill by phone and all is well in cableland (like candy land only there are more remote controls.)

I was raised to think for myself

You know, when the urge to blog strikes, it hits me pretty hard. Sometimes I can not think of anything to blog. (shocked you, huh?) and then not long after that I will have this whirlwind of thoughts and I can't get to a computer fast enough. Usually those thoughts trickle away and I never blog them. SO imagine that I am sparing you from millions of my brain waves. Are you sad? Thrilled? Relieved? Last night while putting away groceries, I thought of three things to blog and never blogged about any of them. Today I can only remember one of them.

Let us blog.

I started to think about god and the bible. I personally think that god is a cool dude. I don't mean in a "bible thumping press my religion on everyone around me wear a WWJD bracelet and a metal fish on my car" kind of way. I mean in a "Dark Sunglasses, hawiian shirt, Weekend at Bernie's" kind of way. What if God looks like Jack Nicholson? Now don't start shouting blasphemy at me just yet.

I was raised Lutheran. But most importantly I was raised to think for myself. And when I think for myself, I start to wonder, why would god be all fire and brimstone? That is totally uncool. That is the worst way to get followers. Who wants to worship someone that they fear? Do they trust that person? No. I don't trust the people I fear. That's a ridiculous notion. The best way to get followers and make people believe and trust in you, is to be one cool dude. Everybody knows that, right? (pretend you are thinking for yourself here, drop everything that has been pressed into your brain)

Just think of the popular kids in school who were also polite! Let me give examples of :cool dudes: - how about Jake in Pretty In Pink. The jock. The Hot Senior guy. Yet he talked to the dorky kids and wanted to date Samantha. He was a cool dude. Now, he didn't advocate the things that happened at his party, like all the drunken activities, the overactive sexual encounters- he was mostly above all of that, but he wasn't fire and brimstone. What I am saying, is HOW did god get to be fire and brimstone? IS that what he actually is? I don't believe it. I believe that God is a cool dude. Someone misinterpreted him, but we will get to that in a minute.

God, he likes to lay on the beach in the sun (or why would he invent the beach and the sun? ah yes, to torture us I am sure!) and I think that he isn't afraid to crack a beer(or maybe a corona or a fruity cocktail) every once in a while in the name of relaxation. God is one cool dude. He talks to everyone. He treats everyone equally. He is full of love and forgiveness. He's got to be laid back. When you think of what god's voice must sound like, do you think fire and brimstone?

Or, like me, do you think of this calm, relaxing, soothing, deep voice - the voice of someone who is not uptight and mean, but someone who is calm, cool, and collected. Like your mom's voice should be soothing or a phychiatrist's voice. Think Yoga instructor voice. Soothing.

But just like your mom, god can totally get pissed. Why not? He has an incredible level of tolerance, that's for sure.... but don't mothers have an incredible level of tolerance too? Do mom's get pissed when you hit your little sister? yep. And so god protects his flock.

So what I am saying, is that Who in the world decided to make god into this bad guy? I have an idea. Now remember, this was just a thought I had when putting groceries away. I'm not telling you what to think. And no matter what you say, thinking for myself and not as a "lamb in god's obediant flock" is not going to send me straight to hell. I personally believe that god would prefer thinkers on his team.

So what if, back in the day- "pre-bible" we are talking- God was a cool dude. He loved everyone. By being a cool dude, he was able to influence people of all races, cultures, and walks of life. He tried to lead people down the right path. God sent Jesus down to be a cool dude and gather many followers. Jesus made wine from water and broke bread and multiplied fish. Everyone was in awe.

Now let's say that there were people around, let's call them Stan and Ned. So Stan and Ned has always been hardcore god fans. They were straight-edge, square people. You know the type. Very uptight. They were firm believers that god was a harsh critic. The believed that god was fire and brimstone. Now whether that was passed down from generations or if they read something that got them there, I don't know. I am not quite familliar enough with history and such to know what caused them to be that way. It may have been a dictator or ruler who was strict and enforced their ruling in a fire and brimstone kind of way, leading them to believe that all rulers were fire and brimstone.

But anyway, pretend that Stan and Ned and all the people like them were hardcore followers of god. They never questioned the things that they heard about god. They did everything exactly as they were told god wanted it. Then god sent down Jesus. Jesus was popular. He was like Jake in Pretty in Pink. He was a :cool dude: in the coolest sense. he did all of these amazing things. He talked to everyone, he believed in everyone. He wasn't prejiduced by race or religion or society status. He drank wine! Heck, he made MORE of it! He had feasts and he indulged in bread and fish. He fed the hungry. He took care of the poor and healed the sick. He shared what he had with those PEOPLE that Stan and Ned thought they were above.

Now let's say that Stan and Ned, believing what they were taught.... thought that Jesus was going to come down and be fire and brimstone. They thought he would snub his nose and turn his head at those who didn't believe as much as Stan and Ned believed. They thought he would look down upon those who drank wine and broke the rules. They were sure that when Jesus showed up, he would be their Homey. Yeah, well, they had pegged it all wrong. And what they realized right then and there, was that THEY had been so straight edge, so uptight for years and years, waiting for Jesus to come down and praise them.... and when he actually showed up, he paid more attention to people who needed help getting on the right path. He paid more attention to other people and he taught them to be tolerant of others and forgiving. He taught them to share what they have and treat others as they wanted to be treated. He taught everyone to look out for each other. LOVE ONE ANOTHER JESUS SAID. And all along, Stan and Ned had put themselves on this religious pedestal. They had been "better than" those peopple drinking the wine. They didn't love those people! They didn't Associate with those people! They didn't give those people love and share their food with those people! They were BETTER Than those people? Right? But come down to it, and Even Jesus didn't think he was better than those people. So by acting as though they were "better", Stan and Ned were acting as though they were BETTER than JESUS himself?! Whoa. They really screwed that one up, eh?

Problem was that Stan and Ned were the educated type. And they were also the vengeful type. After Jesus death, they decided to write things down. They decided to write about what type of guy God was and how he wanted us to behave. But their views were biased because they were angry. They wanted everyone else to believe what they had believed. They wanted everyone else to believe in fire and brimstone. So they wrote a history of what had happened, and they intoned their own beliefs into that writing, their own interpretation of the events and of what God would want. They were the educated ones, who had the social postition to write and write well, and to be taken seriously. And so even today, people take everything in the bible to be "gospel truth." But think of how many times the bible has been translated. Each translation reflects another person's thoughts on the subject, and eventually, it loses some of it's credability. Especially when you can't ever prove that the people who wrote it weren't writing something to further their own personal agenda.

So why wouldn't you want to think for yourself? Your brain works, right? Aren't you able to live your life andtake pieces from the bible that make sense and put them towards your life? Aren't you able to use morals and your gut feeling as a guide about what is right and wrong? Doesn't that also bring with it tolerance of people of all races, colors, religions, and sexual orientations? Would Jesus (cool dude, remember?) actually want you to look down on someone who believes differently than you? Who dresses differently than you? Who loves someone of the same sex?

Nice story eh? Send all shouting blasphemy claims to WWJD@dazed81.com
I will continue to believe that God and Jesus are two "cool dudes."

P.S. I am marking this as a flaming hot button issue.

Misc

Wow. I did NOT want to get up this morning. Over our "vacations" for Christmas and New Years, I got into the habit of not going to bed till 1 or 2am. Which made it EXTREMELY difficult to get up this morning after staying up till 1:30 this morning. Icky.

My CTMH order came today, and I got some discontinued brass stencils, the teeniest stylus you have ever seen, a package of vellum, and the Create-a-file (D1114) Stamp Set that was the Special for December. I can't wait to go home and create file folders. However. Problem. I have no arcylic blocks large enough for the file folders. Yikes! Guess that will be in my club order for January! And I probably need a 4.5 x 6.5 block. That's the "largest" they make, and I worry a little that i will have a hard time getting the entire surface of that to "stamp"

Here is the stamp set (their website is still showing Decembers, although that may change shortly) and also a bunch of examples of things they made with the set. I will also put a picture in this post so you can see it.

I was wondering to myself yesterday, how is it that people become professional bloggers? Look at www.dooce.com - Is she a SAHM that blogs, and therefore can claim blogging as her profession? Does she get PAID? How do you get PAID to blog unless it is a company blog? I don't get that.

Well, enough for now. Tonight is the PCUG Meeting. I have lots of work to do before then.

La Resistance

My husband is "La Resistance." What he does not yet realize is that he is wasting his energy, for resistance is futile.

Every year for the past 762 years, my new year's resolution has been to excercise more and eat healthier. With mom having breast cancer and dad being diabetic, I know that managing my weight and eating healthy food is one of the preventative factors for both disease. We also have high blood pressure in our family, and Evan's family has heart problems, high cholesterol, and cancer. So of course, I want to take him with me on this quest for better eating. I am not talking dieting. Oh contrare monfrare! I am talking less "hamburger helper" more chicken and fish with vegetables and healthy whole grains. I love to cook. I always have, and Pampered Chef provided me with MORE than enough tools to whip up some fabulous meals, and the rest I own entirely to my mother, who could cook any man, woman, or child into oblivion.

For the past 6 months, with the wedding planning and then the wedding and reception and 6 months of remodeling and having no place to cook, eat, or relax.... it has been TAKE OUT CITY around here, and I gained another 10 pounds when I NEEDED to lose 50! Not good! Every night Evan says "where do you want me to get supper" and with IBS, my life has been miserable eating pizza and chicken and chinese and spaghetti. Ugh. I need some balance! I need some VEGETABLES! Evan dislikes vegetables. He doesn't HATE them, it's not that he won't EAT them, it's that he prefers not to eat them. He's the guy whe eats a casserole or something with veggies and at the end of the meal there is a pile of vegetables in one corner of his plate where he picked through them. He always says "there were just too MANY vegetables." Puh-LEAZE! Are we in Kin-de-garten? NO. I love vegetables. I love peppers so much that I will eat them cold and crisp from the fridge. I love to eat tomatoes like apples and lettuce on every type of sandwich and onions on everything. I can eat mushrooms whole and in the can with a spoon. I could open a can of cold peas and eat the whole thing if I wanted. I love vegetables. So cooking for someone who whines and groans whenever he sees something "green" in his food, is quite the challenge. I have gotten good at disguising veggies, adding cheese and butter and sauteeing them so they aren't crunchy. Stewing them in soup for HOURS so they are soft and tasty. I even buy Broccolli florets because I know that it is the stalks that he notices. Oh how I try. But I have noticed that when I lived at my mom's house, I ate what I wanted, when I wanted, but we always had vegetables and grains, and as soon as I moved in with Evan, my whole diet changed. I started gaining right after moving here and now I have gained 65 pounds in 5 years. Ugh!

Granted, I am probably "settled" and not running all over with him anymore, but still. My eating habits have got to change. And I am cooking for both of us, so that means that his eating habits need to change too.

So yesterday I spent almost 3 hours planning each meal for the next month. Looking at recipes and portion sizes and making meal lists that transferred into grocery lists. I started planning for 2 weeks. Then when I finished, It ended up being that the grocery list showed I needed Half a pepper and 1/4 cup of orange juice and 1 cup of provolone, and eventually it was easier to plan for 4 weeks and use a whole pepper to save money.

So tonight we went grocery shopping. When Evan saw the list he cringed. It was a full page long, two columns, typed. He was not pleased. He groaned and moaned while shopping and when I picked up $35 in fresh chicken breasts and fish, He said "WHOA! Why are you getting that much?!" And I said BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO EAT THAT MUCH! Resistance is futile!

Our cart was SOOO full that he was trying to hide instead of be seen pushing it. But the entire top layer was filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grain breads, and dairy products. And under that was juice and wild rice and whole grain pasta. Chicken and Chicken Broth and Whole Grain Cereals. Skim Milk (the only thing I have sold him on in the past 2 years) Oh the HORROR! And of course under all that good food was the stuff we also needed like dishwasher soap, ziploc bags, mouse poison (see hanger butt incident two posts back), soap, garbage bags.

When We got the cart full, the bill came to $295.00

The look on Evan's face was priceless. But I figured that for a month of eating out for supper only, it would cost us about $384. And we had just bought a month's worth of groceries. So I guess it wasn't TOO bad.

After Evan got it all unloaded and I got it all put away.... I am exhausted.

What's your resolution?

Lazy Ass Wife!

Well, it’s Sunday night. I don’t have to work tomorrow, although I do have to go “to” work for a short while. I can’t tell you what I have to do there, or that would be disclosing “company operations” on the internet, or particularly my blog, which I can’t do. But suffice it to say it’s quick and painless.

I am still in my pajamas (yes all day) and I feel kind of guilty that I haven’t gotten dressed…. And that makes me feel guilty that I haven’t accomplished enough this weekend. As I started to feel guilty, I decided to make a list of what I have done, so that I hopefully would find something productive.

And this, is an Adventure in My everyday life, and a particular weekend which ALMOST ended with me feeling like a lazy, guilty slob, who didn’t do hardly ANYTHING productive all weekend. Until, that is, I decided to bore you to death by listing my activities here. And the kicker is, I will probably be awake and productive for another 2.5 hours, until at least 1am when I finally collapse, and that on my “day off tomorrow” I will do tons more.

For Example:
Picking up the scrapbook table and the bedroom again
Cleaning off the desk in the office
Picking up the front porch
Fixing a friends computer from 2-4 tomorrow
Going to work tomorrow for a short mission
Getting Groceries
Buying Jeans and Socks
Cleaning out the fridge
Putting away groceries
Doing 5-8 more loads of laundry
Putting Away all that clean laundry I have done all weekend
Balancing the Checkbooks
Taking a Bath (tonight, I hope, before I crash)
Writing an 8 page newsletter in Publisher for Tuesday’s Princeton Computer User Group Meeting
Writing a Photo Editing Topic for Tuesday’s Princeton Computer User Group Meeting

Please tell me not to feel guilty because I was productive enough this weekend?!?!

There's a hanger on my butt!

The funniest thing happened just now. I was watching TV, eating supper, and working on the grocery list, and the dogs (who were sleeping on their beds in the dining room) started barking and howling and jumped up from their beds and there were claws all over the floors and when I got there, they had chased a mouse into Evan's closet. They were clawing at the crack under the door, and howling and barking and sniffing under the door. I opened the door and they continued to dig deep into the closet, behind the bottom row of clothes and through everything, cornering that mouse. I gave up watching them, and went back to my cheeseburger, and pretty soon Boyd comes walking into the bedroom- WITH A HANGER ON HIS BODY! he had sniffed right through the hanger to get to the mouse, and was wearing the hanger like a belt, although an uncomfortable. He wanted that mouse so bad he went right back into the closet to get the mouse, wearing the hanger. I snapped a couple of pics with my camera, but he wouldn't sit (must have not been comfortable) and he kept turning around to look at the hanger. I laughed so hard! Check it out!
