Sunday Sunday Sunday

I really do not want to clean today. But this place is seriously trashed.
I have all the baby clothes either put away or half put away, and I need to get the 9 cube organizer that I planned on putting next to the changing table. I have all the cubes already bought, so I started putting clothes in them, but don't have the shelf yet. I was thinking maybe this week I would run and get one, so I wanted to check the Target website to see if it is on sale (it's always on sale for $29.99 instead of $39.99) and suddenly, I feel like I have entered a parallel universe because it is listed for $59.99! What the FUCK!? Sorry. But that was totally necessary. Increasing the price before Christmas? I kept checking to see if I was on a website for like, another country. What the hell. So I decided to call my target store. And they have them. For $39.99. Ugh. So what is up with the website? Talk about give a chick an unnecessary heart attack.

And don't even get me started on the $17.99 SDHC Card reader that I bought there that doesn't work. And that all other customers say "doesn't work" and that I called the company about yesterday. They were all calm and cool and told me that they would get me the manufacturers information, and then they couldn't find ANY contact information for the manufacturer. Imagine that. SO I am supposed to call them on Monday (another example of supreme customer service- the "you call us back" thing.) and speak to a manager with my case ID number and get something accomplished. Also while checking another Target store for the cube unit and going to my doctor's appointment 45 minutes away that I don't even think it is necessary to go to. And I don't want to go. But I will go. This time.

Ho Ho Ho!

So today we went shopping. Our intention was to hit craft stores (JoAnn, Michaels, Hobby Lobby) and then also Toys R Us. I grabbed a couple of bias tape makers, and also a new marking pen. Also got a tree skirt for Ardyn's pink Christmas Tree, and a star to use as a topper. 50% off. Yay. I grabbed three sheets of pastel felt for more cookie frosting, and a pack of 2 iron ons that say "I'm the big sister." Can't wait to use those!

When we went to Toys R Us, we got lucky and ran into the one other kitchen that we had been considering originally. It is a wood kitchen, kind of al all-in-one design, with a built in laundry center and ironing board. It's totally cute and unisex (hence the upcoming boy) and when we looked online, even though it is new for this Christmas Season, it is out of stock everywhere, and there were no toys r us stores in Illinois that had any. We got super lucky and happened to find two in Toys R Us, so we picked one up. So Ardyn's Kitchen looks like This!
SOOOOOO Stinkin cute! We also got her a HUGE Board book for like $5 on 50% off, that we will wrap up. It's HUGE, like as big as an encyclopedia, but it's got a padded cover and board book pages, with really nice full color photos of farm animal faces. She adored it in the store, and it retails for $14.99, so the $5 price was awesome.Today Ardyn wore pigtails for the first time, and she was of course super cute. She has two molars coming in on the bottom and her gums are SUPER swollen. She was especially cranky at times today, she cried for an hour straight on the way to our shopping destination, and had so many fits in Perkins that we had to have them pack our dinners to go and eat in the van. Where of course she was fine after a cuddle from mom, a rousing 2 rounds of the ABC's, and two Dr. Seuss Books. I thought Evan was going to drive the van off a cliff with all of us inside from all her screaming. Good thing Illinois is fairly flat. LOL. And we had hylands, orajel, and motrin with us for reinforcements. The motrin helped her to finally nap, through the whole Toys R Us experience, in the cart. Thank God. She was SO tired!

Ardyn Counts to Three and Does Animal Sounds on Video!

I have felt kinda crappy today. Just all around. Mentally cranky, my stomach has been crampy (or should I say my general stomach area, not so much my stomach as my belly.) and I am just not thrilled. I have accomplished a few things, but it feels like I have 5 bazillion things to do still because the house is suddenly a mess. I went through four totes of boy clothes and sorted into sizes from NB-18 months. Then I removed tags and stickers and washed everything that is NB and 0-3 months. I also did a load of jeans and two loads of diapers, and hung up a load of good clothes.

My heartburn has been just over the top the past two nights and days, and I have spent lots of time sitting up and awake. I was awake from 4:30 till 8am this morning, and that was NOT fun. I listened to Evan snore, ate some cereal, and then played some Touchmaster on the DS. Of course I FINALLY got back to sleep just after 8am and at 9am MIL was calling and I just wanted to put the pillow over my head. Luckily I was able to sleep till about 11:30, Ardyn was up at 11 but sitting in her crib happily reading. She didn't decide it was time to get "up" till 11:30. That was good. Despite Prenate DHA Vitamins that have stool softener, I have just had that icky slow digestion feeling and tummy cramps and heartburn. Ack. Today my OB let me know that I can double my heartburn medicine, and if it doesn't take care of it, I can then triple it, and if that doesn't do the trick I will be moving from Zantac to prescription. The fact that I can't sleep and that I spend the night upright and still throwing up in my mouth, is already very much like my last pregnancy, and I am JUST NOT DOING THAT again. Nope.

Ardyn has been checking her boundaries and getting into all the places that she isn't supposed to get, and to be honest, I am running out of places to hide things. I think I need some cabinets and drawers with child locks because this crap of just emptying every single drawer is starting to fray my last nerve. I keep the door shut to our bedroom all day, because her new thing is unloading the jewelry armoire, specifically the drawer with lapel pins. Yep. Luckily she brings them right to me to show me how fabulous and pretty they are, but I get so annoyed with it, and with her ransacking my nightstand that I just try to keep the door shut. I feel like it would be nice if I could at LEAST still own my own nightstand. Personal space is scarce these days around here!

Ardyn and I should probably consider taking a bath tonight, but I am feeling icky enough that I just want to put her to bed and take my own damn bath. Alone. By myself. Alone.

By the time she gets tired, and I get all of her toys picked up, and take a bath, I am pretty sure we might be looking at a midnight bedtime. Ack. I wish I felt like cleaning the kitchen. I spend every day looking at the stuff piling up on the tables in this place and I think.... I just need Ardyn to go to grandma's for a weekend so that I can get something DONE. But then I think I could get it done with her here (I think) and ship Ardyn off to do something fabulous like get a massage or even paint my own damn toenails. Ha. After a nice weekend I have been promptly slammed back into reality. I think what bothers me most is that after a weekend of answering to no one but my damn self, I am back to being at everyone else's beck and call. I don't think that my husband gets that, or will ever get that. He is always wanting to show me things. I am trying to get myself dressed, or make Ardyn and I something to eat, or pick up this or that, or go through baby clothes, and I am CONSTANTLY being interrupted with "look at this" and while it would be nice to have unlimited time to sit with my husband and look at things online, or in catalogs, or in the newspaper.... I just DO NOT have that time. I would prefer to hav a shirt on or eat a piece of toast! Is that so damn wrong. And when I spend 45 minutes saying "hang on please" and he just keeps asking, and interrupting what I am doing, I get SO FRUSTRATED! and what really makes me angry is that when we have the opportunity to spend time together without Ardyn, he disappears. Gone. Band Practice. Out with Friends. Running to Wal-Mart. Anywhere that leaves me hear with Ardyn sleeping. Not that I mind a bit of time to myself, but that usually is spent either picking up toys, doing laundry, or if I am lucky putting away my own clothes or watching a show I have on TIVO. But don't disappear every time I have some downtime and then expect me to ignore the fact that I am 5 months pregnant and STARVING to look at a shirt that you saw online. Seriously. I love him. To death. But I just wish he would get a CLUE that sometimes I don't want to be at everyone else's beck and call. I suppose that's what all SAHM's want.

Maybe I am having a midlife crisis, eh? LOL. My 30th Birthday is on the 24th of this month. RAPIDLY approaching. Or maybe I am just frustrated that as fast as I am sorting boy clothes into totes, Ardyn is unsorting them and unfolding them into massive piles on the floor. And no one but me seems to even NOTICE.

Today I took a few videos of Ardyn. My favorite is of her counting the sugar cookies (counting to three) and making animal sounds. I will try to embed it here....

Grey's Anatomy.... Seriously?

Okay. I think they are getting a little off the wall. Izzy is having sex with a ghost, and lexepedia is putting together a team of interns that are going to remove another intern's appendix just for practice, when there is nothing wrong with him? Really. Next there will be vampires. This is getting a bit ridiculous.

I have a headache. I have had it ALL DAY. I wanted to blame the weather, but now I am thinking it might all go back to the spaghetti that I heated up at 1am this mornning. It sure tasted good, but I KNEW it would give me heartburn and so it did, and it kept me up, and I had to sleep upright, and so my neck hurts, and so I have had a headache all day. That tylenol will not cure. So I have picked up all of Ardyn's toys and am just WAITING for her to look sleepy so that I can start washing her diapers and go to BED with the heating pad on my neck.

Today I made a star shaped sugar cookie (felt) and a heart shaped one, and got about 80% finished with a gingerbread man before I had to put him down because of my headache and just plain being annoyed that my embroidery floss kept knotting. Pics tomorrow maybe.

I went through two totes of boy clothes from a friend and picked out what I wanted, and tomorrow I need to add up the total so that I can see if I can realistically keep the things that I picked out. AND I need to have Evan bring down my tote of boy clothes from the attic so that I can go through them and get an idea of what I have and if it will match "season-wise" with the baby.

I would type more and be more entertaining, but my headache is hurting, so more tomorrow I hope!

The Paper Dollhouse. And Felt Sugar Cookies WIP

Well, it has so far been a very busy week. I spent the weekend out of town on a Scrapbook Retreat- at a place called "The Paper Dollhouse." It was Wonderful! It was relaxing, productive, and a much needed break for me! It is a beautiful victorian house that as Evan put it "looks just like a dollhouse!" We scrapbooked all day, until about 2am, slept there in our own room, and got up to start all over again. The food was FABULOUS. We had three meals a day, plus a dessert after each mealtime, and traditional tea time at 4pm. The food was so delicious and I was always satisfied and full. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, and in fact we plan on making it an annual trip. I would go more often, but without two incomes, and with two kids under 2, that's not going to happen for a while. So an annual trip it will be! From Friday at 2pm when we checked in until Sunday at about 3pm when we checked out, I completed an entire 8.5x8.5" album consisting of 40 pages for Ardyn's Birth. I then moved onto a 12x12" book and got about 15 pages done in that book. Everything was wonderful! The first floor was all scrapbook space, dining space, and the kitchen, foyer, and a sitting room. The second floor consisted of 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and the maid's quarters... and the 3rd floor was all scrapbook supplies! If you needed adhesive, it was just a flight of stairs up. There was also a Michael's and a Hobby Lobby within 15 minutes. Ahhhh. Heaven. We spent the weekend in pajamas, slippers, and comfy clothes... with no makeup, and sometimes no bras. It doesn't get better than that!

When I got home on Monday, our new cleaning lady (who is actually my age, so I feel silly calling her a lady) came over to finish up the house. She does a WONDERFUL job, doesn't mind cleaning when we are here, and is just all around great. I am so happy! Evan and I started to make our decision as to Which Kitchen we will be getting for Ardyn for Christmas, and picked out the one we liked the best, both for looks, price, and reviews. We wanted a wooden kitchen as they seem to last through generations. We picked a pink one, even though we know there will be a boy coming next, I really wanted her to have something that was pink since EVERYTHING we buy her seems to be "gender neutral" and because if a boy wants to play kitchen, he will just have to be okay with a pink one... and with sharing with his big sister. Because she is all about mixing, stirring, and tea right now (she says "tea" and serves tea to everyone) I will be making her some felt cookies and cakes for Christmas also, and a cupcake Apron from some towels that I got at Target last Valentine's Day. I started on cookies this evening, and also made her a donut just for fun. She wandered around saying "Cookie!" all night and counting from 1-3 with the cookies. Everyone is so surprised, but she knows how to count to 3. I have to start her with one, but she very clearly goes to two, and then to three. It's totally adorable, and I need to get it on video.I need to get some more felt, as this is just some wool felt that I had in my stash downstairs. I want to make some gingerbread cookies, as well as some more like this with lavender frosting. I would also like to try my hand at making some linzer cookies like these, some star shaped sugar cookies, and some cupcakes like these. Just to get started before Christmas.

The house looks terrible. Every night. And every night, I pick it up. And then we start over. Our new mattress came today (the one that we received as an even exchange on our Sealy that was less than 2 years old and defective.) We got a King Sized Restonic Imperial Plush Pillowtop. And Wow. Is it freaking awesome. I can't wait to sleep tonight. My hips and back were really getting painful, and my belly was waking up with cramps in the morning. I can't wait. This will be so much better than the bed that was all messed up.

Tomorrow night is Mother/Daughter Grey's Anatomy night and I am hosting. Mom, my sister, me and Ardyn... and Evan will be here too. We are ordering Pizza, Pasta, and breadsticks from Pizza Hut and will be watching the Elmo Saves Christmas DVD with Ardyn, followed by the Grey's Anatomy Episode. I am disappointed because tonight I missed Dirty Sexy Money because it wasn't on, Damn CMA awards.

I am hoping tomorrow to make a trip to grab up some bias tape for Ardyn's Toddler Apron, and some more felt, in addition to some longer beads.

Well, more later, right now I am off to pick up this mess!

Fall Fun

Sorry I may have been slacking lately. We have been fairly busy around here. Today Ardyn and I got up early (for us) and went to vote, and then went to Story Hour at the Library, and then to Wal-mart. We have been having problems with our debit card that have really been making me cranky. For two days in a row, even though we had money, our debit card would not work. I could check the balance online and there would be HUNDREDS of dollars, but I couldn't spend a dime getting stuff at Wal-Mart because it wouldn't work. Then we discovered through a friend working there, that the company that processes their debit cards was having issues with their software. So for two days in a row, we carted a toddler into the store, loaded up with what we needed, and then couldn't check out. I never thought about using the ATM to get cash. Then suddenly it started working. And then today, I checked the balance before I left home and all was well, and as soon as I got to Wal-Mart, I couldn't even spend $24 for vitamins and hand soap and the card wouldn't work. So I went to the ATM and saw that there was like $100 available but even the ATM wouldn't give me money. I was so frustrated. tonight at the close of the day, there is still $100 in the account, but the ATM and debit and credit functions wouldn't work at Wal-Mart. ARGH. Frustrating. I hope that whatever is going on gets straightened out.

Tomorrow we have our guy coming over in the morning because our garbage disposal has ceased to function (thanks to what seems to be banana peels) and our sink is clogged and gross and un-usable in the kitchen. Then I have labwork and an appointment in the afternoon.

I need to wash diapers, and my clothes, and Ardyn's clothes, and pack up my scrapbooking supplies for the weekend. I plan to do all that on Thursday, in addition to having my new cleaning girl come for the first time, which I am SO excited about. I can not wait. And I am not the least bit stressed about picking up tons of stuff, because she has kids, little kids, and is a mom, and I just look forward to working with her.

Today my picture order from Flickr arrived, so that I have lots to scrapbook this weekend. More than I will EVER get to! Sunday we took Ardyn to a couple of parks and really enjoyed the weather. We took TONS of pictures, so many that I was able to narrow it down to about 15 favorites or so. About 140 photos that afternoon. We had lots of fun. I have shared some of my favorites here.

Trick Or Treat was nice. Evan stayed home (YAY!) and Ardyn, Evan, and I handed out candy, along with Lisa. We then all ordered stuffed crust pizzas from Pizza Hut that were AWESOME. And Evan brought me a coke and peanut butter cups, so I was totally satisfied.

Today I have been trying to get through Tivo. Since we were without Cable for so long, I missed the entire season (with the exception of the first two episodes) of Raising the Bar on TNT. Monday was a marathon with every episode, including the season finale, so I set the DVR to grab them all and watched a couple today already. I also saw the most recent desperate housewives which totally confuses me as I haven't seen any this season and it has fast forwarded like 5 years and has all kinds of new people. I have yet to see an episode of Men In Trees and I never heard it was cancelled, although I saw "Jack" on another show's preview the other day. I will need to investigate that online.

Ardyn is eating my Buddha Mousepad.

Next week is my ultrasound at 20 weeks, so we will probably see the sex of the baby, although I may have mentioned before I am not getting my hopes up as I had about 3 US's at 20 weeks and over with Ardyn and didn't see the sex in any of them because she had her legs crossed for MONTHS. Little stinker. The midwife swears she has a "boy" vibe and I am trying to convince myself that a son is okay, even though I was in a family of girls and am not sure I am ready for a boy just yet. I have so much great girl stuff that I would love to be able to use it again. Although I know that we will have lots more kids if we can help it, so I am sure it will be fine no matter what the sex.

Well, that's good for now, Ardyn is getting tired and cranky, despite two naps today I think she wants attention and then it's going to be bedtime. Have a great night and enjoy our pics!

Mom's Rising is giving you a quick and easy way to let a friend who is a mom know that if they have any type of family or child emergency this Tuesday that is preventing them from voting, you would be Happy to step in and help out while they go vote. I think this is the coolest. As a mom, it's great to know who you can call for quick help if something arises. I sent a few out to moms whose email addresses I know.

If you are a mom, you know what I mean, and there should be NOTHING that stops a mom from voting. Seriously. So step up and help out by letting a mom know that you are her backup. AND Get out there and VOTE!

And if you aren't registered, get on it! Filling out the form and sending it just takes minutes, and if you can't get registered this year, you will be ready for next year!

Short and Sweet

I am so exhausted tonight. This will be short. Today was a good day but a long one. I woke up at noon! Ardyn woke up at noon! Then I browned 3 pounds of ground beef, made taco dip and crock pot lasagna, got Ardyn dressed, and by then my mom was here to watch her and I was getting myself ready and heading in to "work" for a meeting.

Tonight we watched TV and ate together, my mom and sister were here. We watched Grey's Anatomy and then I watched Wednesday's episode of Dirty Sexy Money. It was good. I then wanted to catch up on the two episodes I missed this season, but when I tried to watch them at abc.com they were really choppy, even on cable internet. I dunno. It was like it was constantly buffering, which annoyed me. And even when I started it over, hoping that it would be better once the downloading got ahead of the area I was watching, it was the exact same. Choppy in the same places. Ack. So I stopped. My brain is too tired to decipher what they were saying, let alone enjoy it. It's hard when their mouths don't match the words, because I can't even try to lip read.

I will just go put the lasagna in the fridge and turn off the crock pot and then it's off to bed for me. Too tired!

Have a great Friday!

My daughter is a genius

I just pinched my finger in the bathroom door. And I said "Fuck." And I realized that it is probably better at this time to create a new bad word. One that can be repeated in public by a small child and not make anyone turn their head. A friend's grandma used to say "Couch."

I will need to repeatedly injure myself and practice using the new word so that I don't screw up. Any word suggestions?

I am not sure if it is a good idea to feed a 1 year old Smarties at 10pm, but we have nothing to do tomorrow morning. She can sleep it off and so can I. She has never had smarties before. She can't have much candy cuz of the milk thing. Right now she is watching Dragon Tales and tearing apart a pad of yellow sticky notes with determined vengeance. She has been playing with lots of random items lately. Flashlights. Doorstops. Headbands. Everything is an instrument of her imagination.

I am filling the bathtub, and it is great until she figures out that it is filling (like she just did now) because then she wants to dive in headfirst. No fear that child. So I have had to shut and barricade the bathroom door and she is having a hysterical moment. We are going to take a bath. She needed one, well, a while ago. I think yesterday morning was technically bath day (we bathe every other around here) and I ended up showering alone last night (for the first time since about 2007) and she was at grandmas for a visit. It ws so quiet here last night that I kept thinking she was about to wake up from her nap. But I got a TON done. So tonight we are going to take our regular together bath. We're all about conserving water here. And making bathtime easy. And that is the easiest way to give her a good bath, spend time with her, and still get my own bath. If I am in the tub and she is not, she is hysterical trying to climb over the sides (usually she is successful) and get in with me. There is no bathing without her, unless dad stands by to whisk her away, or I put her in her robe, which makes her realize that the bath is over. Don't ask why. That's just the way it is. I am considering using a Simplicity pattern that I have to make a bigger, fluffier, hooded robe maybe with velcro closures so that I can just put it on her easier when I am inside the tub and she is not. But I really should get some nice thick Terry cloth. Which I won't find unless I go to a good fabric store. I like to feel like she is warm and dry instead of wet and shivering while I finish up the end of my bath (the shaving, etc just can't be done with her in the tub too. Room restrictions and tiny grabby hands prevent it.)

So today In my stupor of internet wonder I discovered Burdastyle. Oh lord. It's like heaven for sewers (people who sew, not like rancid underground pipes of poo.) I just can't contain myself. Found some patterns I want to try, including a shirt for Ardyn, and of course my laser printer just decided today that it doesn't want to feed the paper. I have tried auto-feed, and the tray, with all sorts of varying paper amounts. The rollers are just being so obstinate. So I have been saving PDF Files for patterns and instructions and SOON I tell you, I will get these things printed. It irritates me to no end. I may even have to hook up Evan's Deskjet and print them with that. I so despise inkjets. I love my laser. It's done this before, and woken up a week later in a better mood, to work another year or so without complaining. I hope that this is the case again.

Well, off to take the bath. I will be back after I get her to bed!

11:09pm. Nice bath. Really nice. We soaked and sang every song we could think of, including a rousing rendition of Old McDonald had a farm in which he seems to also be an exotic animal enthusiast and have things like snakes and monkeys in addition to your everyday farm animals. Ardyn likes to insert the correct sound for the animal as soon as I announce which animal is on the farm. It's too cute. Since we are taking oil bath now for both of our eczema, we soak for about 10 minutes and then we quickly wash her hair, get her out, and then I wash my hair. The idea is as little exposure to soap as possible. I find myself giving her underwater massages on her legs and feet while we sing songs and soak. Tonight she was saying "Sing!" and when I let her out of the tub I put her robe on and she promptly tore it back off again. I noticed that her robe has short sleeves (it's from florida and worked wonderfully after swim lessons) and that I should indeed make her one with long sleeves. Perhaps really long with velcro at the ends so that I can wrap it around her straight jacket style and she can't get it off. Well anyway, she ran around naked and splashed in the water over the side of the tub and tried to catch globs of floating shaving cream and put them in her mouth. And then, she did the most amazing thing. She found a square of toilet paper. To which I groaned and knew that it would entertain her to no end. And instead of tearing it up, you know what she did? She squatted right there in the bathroom and WIPED with it. I shit you not. She wiped herself with a teeny square of toilet paper. And because she got an amazed response from me, she continually wiped herself for the next 10 minutes until she had little pieces of toilet paper stuck all over her crotch. What a crazy smart kid.

And as per her usual bedtime routine, we got in a nighttime diaper, put on her prescription lotion (mimyx) and her pajamas... then situated her room (CD player on, lights out, crib prepared, fresh blanket) and she gave me a kiss when I asked and leaned over towards her crib. And lay down and looked up at me when I placed Stewart the Seahorse (lights up like a gloworm) in her crib "just so" on her right side, and dog in her left arm, and tucked her in "snug as a bug in a rug" and turned on her Rainforest Crib soother. Then I give her a kiss via my hand and up goes the side rail and out of the room I go. And she doesn't cry. And I love that.

Now I have decided that I won't put on clothes, just a robe, and I won't dry my hair. And I should go to sleep but I am trying to talk myself out of browning 3 pounds of ground beef tonight, as I can do it tomorrow morning. I will be making taco dip and crock-pot lasagna with garlic bread as tomorrow night is Grey's Anatomy night and my mom and sister and I all get together and watch at mom's house. Since Liz and I both couldn't afford TV for a while. But now I have cable at home again, and DVR, so we can rewind.... and so I have suggested that we make this week a gathering at our house. Which will be awesome. So I am looking forward to that.

But I also have a meeting at work tomorrow and WIC coupons to pick up, so I am trying to tell myself that I can brown the beef in the morning, but I know we will sleep late, and so the morning won't really be morning by the time that I feed Ardyn and myself and get ready to go to my meeting after lunch. But I don't really feel like doing it all tonight. I already cleaned the fridge out tonight and haven't QUITE finished disposing of all the ickies that I need to stiuff down the garbage disposal. I should probably do that and then brown the beef in the morning. And then put together the lasagna and the dip and then get ready for my meeting and get things ready for mom to watch Ardyn.

Well, Evan just texted me. And I need to get offline. I am addicted all over again.

Monday Night.

Tonight I was at my parents' house and wanted to upload photos. I had to bring Evan's new laptop with me. You see, I have an SDHC (High Capacity) camera Card and regular SD Camera card readers and slots won't read the stupid thing. No big deal, I bought a SDHC Card Reader. The first two were very inexpensive ($5 at Target) and Manufactured by Ohm (who apparently has no presence on the internet) and they both broke. The first one I just returned to target for a replacement as it was like 4 days after it was purchased, the second one I just bit the bullet and bought the $15 one by Ohm, also at Target. It's a multi card reader. And wouldn't you know, it won't work on ANY Windows XP computer I have tried it on, but Evan's laptop has a built in card reader that is new enough to read an SDHC. So I thought I would bring it with me and of course it reads the card wonderfully, but for some reason Flickr Uploader keeps locking up on me and when I try to kill it, the computer (which is brand new and runs Vista) Crashes with a Bloe Stop Screen (Blue Screen of Death) and claims a hardware error. That. Pisses me off. So although I have crafty sewing pictures, funny Ardyn pictures, and Halloween Costume Party pictures.... none of them will upload without repeatedly crashing the computer.

Sunday night was the Halloween Costume Party in our town, and we wrapped Ardyn like a mummy and also wrapped her stuffed dog. She won Second Place Costume- not in her age group (they apparently don't do that here?) But overall. It was fun, I was only disappointed that they didn't do the costume judging first, but had the kids eat and play games first, which really got to a very small mummy.... who doesn't like to wait, especially while wrapped from head to toe in a halloween costume.

I saw several other kids having costume malfunctions like losing wigs and losing props in all the excitement. Maybe next time they will do the costume contest later.... if not maybe I will find when it will be and we will make a late entrance with kids so small in costume. Of course, maybe I am just too competitive. But most other parents had boughten costumes and if you go to the work to come up with and put together a homemade costume, you just would like to get judged before the costume gets torn to hell. At least as a mummy it looks okay when you are unraveling.... unless you can see the flowered pajamas underneath your bandages.

I am So excited about tomorrow. In the morning, Ardyn is going with grandma, and then the Comcast people are coming to install a Dlink and Modem Combo so that they can setup phone and turn on our internet and cable. Then in the afternoon the window installer is coming to take measurements of our windows and then order the windows. Thank GOD. I can't wait. Since it has been in the 20's overnight this past week, it's been plenty cool.

Besides going trick-or-treating to the grandparents on Friday (not in costume) and going in to work one afternoon this week, it will be fairly uneventful. That's exciting. I am saving cash and getting ready to upload photos and order them online, get more adhesive, and cardstock for my upcoming scrapbooking weekend. I can't WAIT!

When I get back from my scrapbook weekend I have an appointment with my endocrinologist, one with my midiwfe, an ultrasound, and our new MATTRESS will be delivered. Ends up that Lays called this evening and after a pricing discussion they agreed that the mattress exchange should be even up and it won't cost us a thing. Thank YOU! I am happy about that!

Last night I watched a couple of movies. Dan In real Life with Steve Carrell was okay. Mammas Boy (with the guy from napolean Dynamite) was really really terrible, so bad that I almost stopped it altogether. Don't bother. I have one more in my group to watch this week.... but the cable will be back on and it won't be so important to rent movies anymore, which is good because there is practically nothing to rent now. Although Don't mess with Zohan was hilarious and well worth renting.

Well, the battery is running dead so that's all, till hopefully tomorrow!
