At Ardyn's school, part of her curriculum is learning an assigned
Bible verse each week. She absolutely amazes me at her capacity for understanding and remembering each verse. She usually has them down by Wednesday. We use wipe-off markers to write them on the bathroom mirror, so we can practice before bed and in the morning before school. We also practice them in the van on the way to school in the morning.
Ardyn just brought home a new verse and she brought it to me when I was giving baths to the boys, so that I could write it on the mirror.
"And He has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. - 1 John 4:21"
Ardyn's eyes went wide and she gave a great gasp... "you mean God has a brother!?!? Who is he!?!"
I laughed. Out loud. Of course that's how it reads, right? It didn't take but a minute to explain that the verse is referring to God being a father, and all of God's children being her brothers (an sisters.) and of course she grasped it right away, but that was the best innocent verse interpretation I've had from her recently :)
